Thought this might be interesting. A screenie of the laptop I use here in Japan.
The wall is a program known as Desktop Earth. A rather elegent program that shows the currnet day/night cover of the earth along with season changes. The program on the right is WaKan. A mighty useful freeware Japanese (and Chinese) dictionay. As you may notice the start button is in Japanese, as this is a Japanese laptop. So some of the programs I use are in Japanese (e.g. Photoshop Elements 2 >__< ), but I did download MSN Messenger and Firefox (far better than Internet Explorer) in English. Hope someone finds this info useful. |

Anyway, it's madness to see a start button in Japanese, but not as odd as the computer in my school that's in Irish. How could they fit "Tosaigh"[start] into such a small button?
